The Garden of the Gods

Since Alex starts work at the new church on August 5th and school for me starts on August 6th, it doesn't give us much time to complete our 'Redneck Summer' list. 

Yes, we wrote our list on a napkin.

Some of these things have been done already. Since we wrote out this list over spring break at, yes, Toby Keith's Bar and Grill, we've done several of these things. I've since applied, been accepted and even finished a semester of grad school. And.... that's about all from the list that's been done.

Today, we crossed off the park. We went to the Garden of the Gods which is down in Colorado Springs. It was incredibly HOT the entire time, but it was beautiful!

We walked around those rocks. 

It took us a good two and a half hours to walk around the bigger rocks to get back to our car. It was a great time for just the two of us to hang out together. We wanted to do things together before Alex has all of his weekends dedicated to his new job at the church. Tuesday we're planning on going to the Renaissance Fair, with more hiking done on Saturday and Sunday. 

It was beautiful there!
