The Master of the Divine

Yesterday, Alex and I traveled over to a church about an hour away along with about 140 other people. After four years, Alex is finally a graduate from Denver Seminary!
We are all incredibly proud of him!
There were about 120 students receiving their Masters in Arts (counseling, family ministries, etc), 9 students receiving their Doctorates, and 40 other students with Alex who were receiving their Masters in Divinity.
All the Divinity students
Before the certificates were handed out, we heard a wonderful message from the one and only, Chuck Swindoll. He was a fantastic speaker, as usual, but it was awesome to hear him live.
The president of Denver Seminary, Mark Young, who was affectionally referred to as '2 Chains', kept making cracks at Chuck Swindoll, who returned the gesture in his message. They must be pretty good friends.
And then it was time to hand out the certificates. The pictures came out blurry because everyone was moving. But they had all the divinity students stand and one by one, they were called and handed their certificate.
I was and am so proud of him!
So now, we have a Master of the Divine!
Last Sunday, Alex preached at church. Here is a link to his sermon! Just look for his name on the right side of the list and click on the play button. So, if you have some time, listen to his sermon. He did a great job and I can't be any more proud of him.
